The Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP) is a charitable organization serving South Asians in Toronto and surroundings. They offer health promotion and support for South Asians living with and affected by HIV and work with diverse communities on prevention education. Their website redesign was long overdue and the VLaunchIT team was tasked with creating a brand new user experience and add interactivity and the ability to manage all aspects of the website in-house.

Our team created a modern, very unique but highly usable layout for ASAAP which also featured subtle touches of South Asian culture. The design concept, based on a bulletin board evolved with a Usability focussed navigation, accessibility based on WCAG 2.0 and multiple page templates. It also features advanced Social media integration, an Announcements and a highly customized Events calendar, User Polls and a complete branding package.

Out On Bay Street

Out on Bay Street is a non profit organization, founded in 2007 with the goal to support LGBTQA undergraduate and graduate students across Canada. Built upon the fundamentals of leadership, mentoring and networking, the name Out on Bay Street highlights Toronto’s Bay Street as the symbolic focal point of the economy in Canada, while acknowledging how the LGBTQA community is working towards reshaping the way organizations operate in the marketplace by promoting change and openness. VLaunchIT closely worked with the OutOnBaySt team and delivered a ‘bold, clean and modern design using minimal colours’. We also implemented a complex templating system to automatically layout various event pages and numerous custom types to better manage their elaborate events, sponsors, speakers and staff on the website.

The graphics and banners used within the site galleries are made by the designers at OutOnBayst. We have also implemented Social Media integration, Forms and Form Logic for all online registrations for all their events and PayPal integration and tracking to process payments.

Streaming Praise Radio

Started in year 2000, Streaming Praise Radio.com (SPR) is Toronto’s first 24 hours, 7 days a week Gospel Internet Radio. The station’s management demanded many a challenging functionality and a complete visual makeover of the website. We delivered a design that appealed to their mature audience, without looking too dated and still retaining most of their existing and familiar navigation for their users. The biggest challenge was to build a community experience for independent gospel artists to join the website, create profiles and showcase their music. Taking cues from established social networks, we implemented many advanced features for this budding online community all within the existing WordPress CMS. [song upload & ratings, user comments, artist profiles, blogs, social media integration, user roles and management]

VLaunchIT team is committed in helping this project grow and we will be implementing more features that will improve user interaction and appeal to this site.
